MLM Company Amway Posts Decline In Sales In Thailand

"Despite a decline in sales, its first locally in several years, Amway remains optimistic about the outlook of Thailand's direct-sale business. ''Direct-sale [business] has huge potential to grow in the long run. Its market value represents only 2% of the global retail market,'' said Steve Van Andel, chairman of Alticor Inc, the parent company of the US direct-sales giant.

In Thailand, the estimated value of the business is about 20 billion baht, or 6.67% of the 300-billion-baht retail industry."
